ABOUT SNACKS AND BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
Peace Nursery encourages nutritious snacks. Snacks can go along with the theme of the week: cheese cut in shapes, finger Jell-o on color days... Often, the children have an idea of what they want to bring during their snack week. The snack is special because your child helped prepare it. NO CUPCAKES and NO PEANUT BUTTER, please! Fruit, vegetables, cheese, crackers, popcorn, pretzels, and fruit snacks all make a great snack!
-
24 snack items
-
1/2 gallon of juice

Note: These numbers are estimates and may be adjusted to accurately reflect class enrollment numbers. Please see your child's teacher to confirm.
Please, have your snack as "Ready to Serve" as possible.
(Rice Krispie bars should be cut and bagged, Chex mix in individual Baggies, etc.) The teacher will pour the beverage. Place your snack and juice on the metal cart in the hallway.
If your child has a FOOD ALLERGY, please notify your teacher immediately, so that other parents will be aware of what ingredients not to use.
We try to schedule your snack week around the time of your child's birthday. Remember, this is a "snack" so please keep the amount small. Don't be worried about whether all children will like the snack you prepare. Every child will not like every snack, but then they can always say, "No Thank You".
Each birthday child will receive a birthday crown, as we sing "Happy Birthday"! If your child has a summer birthday, the teachers will assign a pretend birthday on the snack calendar.
***Thank you for taking home the empty bottles to recycle!
